Prior to Energía, Ms. Arana managed the Mexico Tourism Board account at Burson Marsteller's Latin America headquarters in Miami. In this role, Ms. Arana supervised a network of executives in charge of promoting Mexico as a top tourism destination among the press and the industry in New York, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. She also organized numerous large-scale tourism-related events and other promotional activities in Mexico, the United States and Canada.

During her time at Burson-Marsteller, Ms. Arana managed diverse projects for both public and private sector clients and established solid professional relationships with some of the most prominent experts on Latin America.

Ms. Arana holds an MA in International Affairs with a specialization in International Media and Communications and Latin America from Columbia University in New York (2002) and a BA in Political Science and French from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1997). Ms. Arana is fully fluent in English, Spanish and French.
